THE GIANT BEHEMOTH (1959) Poster Art and Lobby Cards

Video - The Severely Edited TV version of EVIL DEAD 2!

This is an amusing look at the differences and oddities of the edited for television version of the amazing EVIL DEAD 2 (1987). Some of the things added back in make for surprisingly fine additions to the flow of the film and even fix a couple of continuity problems. Also, for some reason I'm fond of the bizarre shot of the stuffed owl laughing at Ash.

A BAY OF BLOOD (1971) - Poster Art and Video Covers

A VHS viewing of this Mario Bava film coupled with an earlier watch party experience with Fulci's THE BEYOND may have been the beginning of my obsession with Italian horror. I still find both films brilliant every time I return to them.

Video - DICK TRACY'S G-MEN (1939)

Having enjoyed the first Dick Tracy serial I have moved on to the second! So far I'm liking the story for this one a little better even if the villainous menace of Charles (Ming the Merciless) Middleton is missed.

German Westerns - Poster Art

Soon more of these are going to be on Blu-Ray!

Wild, Wild Podcast - COBRA MISSION (1986)

We've all been bored at a family wedding before, but it's unlikely that we've decided to leave early and head off to Vietnam to rescue some guys who got left behind! At least, not often. But that is what happens in this film as ex-soldiers head back in country with nothing but some misplaced courage, gritted teeth and a few guns that a French priest kept in his vestry. How can they fail?

In this episode Wild, Wild Podcast goes back into the jungle to try and decipher Donald Pleasence's dodgy accent, whilst coming to terms with the fact that Adrian has never seen Rambo. Weird!

This season is dedicated to that great quiet man of British cinema, Donald Pleasence, who spent a great deal of time in Italy (and the Philippines) throughout the 1980’s. We would love to hear from you about your favorite Donald Pleasence films from this fertile period, or if you have ever been near an exploding helicopter.
