If you've ever been a fan of the old Warren black & white horror magazines
such as Creepy and Eerie I have exciting news! Editor Rich Sala has brought
those classic oversized mags back to the newsstands with his new endeavor The Creeps. Enlisting the aid of many of the artists that worked on the classic Warren books all those
years ago The Creeps is a return to that style of horror storytelling. The
first two issues are out and the third issue will sport a cover by the
legendary Frank Frazetta so its not too late to jump on this bandwagon. I've
read the first issue and loved every fright filled page. (Whoa! Starting to
sound like the magazine's host The Old Creep.) The contributing artists include
Ken Kelly, Frank Brunner, Rich Buckler and the editor himself Mr. Sala who is
no slouch with pen and ink. I am thrilled by this new venture and hope that
more fans of comic book horror will give it a try. Go over and have a look - it
might be just what you need to read at bedtime! (Damn! I've got to stop leering
at the computer screen like the Old Creep!)
