I originally saw "Attack of the Giant Leeches" at a Saturday afternoon kiddie matinee in the 1960s. It was shown at the Esquire Theater in San Jose, CA, along with a cartoon and a short subject. I remember the rowdy audience went silent when the creepy organ title music by Alexander Laszlo played. Of course, we kids didn't care about the tawdry Southern Gothic melodrama involving Yvette Vickers and Bruno VeSota. We wanted to see the monsters.
