WALPURGIS NIGHT - A fresh take on the classic werewolf story

Over on the Indiegogo site this horror film is raising funds to complete the final stages of post production. It is an homage to the horror movies of Paul Naschy and they are really wearing that influence on their sleeve. Here's the synopsis from their page -

A wealthy couple, Imre and Justine, are visiting the deep forests of Romania and find themselves at the mercy of Waldemar Daninsky, THE WEREWOLF. The wolf terrorizes the countryside, killing anyone in its path. But Waldemar desperately seeks a cure to his lycanthropy. After a horrific tragedy strikes, Waldemar and Justine travel to London to seek the help from of Dr. Jekyll's grandson. But when the full moon rises... The werewolf becomes loose in London!  Justine and Jekyll must quickly find a way to end this horrible curse.

From the character name choices to the werewolf design it is clear that Naschy is important to these filmmakers. I'm looking forward to finally seeing this when it is finished.

If you want to see more or maybe even kick in a few bucks check the campaign out over on IndieGoGo

Is this the same plot and story-line from Dr Jekyll and the Werewolf (y Hombre Lobo)?

It's pretty close but not quite the same - at least as far as I can tell. Hell! If it's a remake I'll be thrilled as I think it would be the first non-Naschy remake of one of his films. That would be a remarkable new area for filmmakers to try out.
