Recently a Facebook post link sent me to this list of The Top 50 Euro Trash Films and quickly the online discussion of the contents made for more interesting reading than the list itself. I have several problems with this
ranking with the foremost being that it slights the massive horror output of the
European 1960's, 1970's and 1980's to the point of becoming a giant glaring
hole in the middle of the entire endeavor. If you are going to make a Top 50
list of this type without including Fulci's ZOMBIE (1979) and/or THE BEYOND
(1981) or a single Mario Bava film you are going to have to work to
justify their absence. Also, if you start your description of a film for this
list with this sentence - "You couldn’t in all honesty call this film Eurotrash." - you have failed in your task.
But the reason for any such list is to generate conversation
and I guess in that it is a success. Oh - and bonus points for the inclusion of
THE SISTER OF URSULA (1978) - more people need to see this trash classic.

The What Culture site is a site to never rely on when it comes to properly covering the genre and the best things(and films) about it.
Yeah- it appears to be so. The strangest thing about this list is it seems the writer didn't really even watch some of the movies she is writing about! Pointless.
